Vintage Style Wedge Salad

A simple and classic wedge salad

Ingredients

Blue Cheese Dressing

  • cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh chives chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic pressed
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 5 oz blue cheese crumbles reserve some for sprinkling on top of the salad wedges

Wedge Salad

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce (medium size) cut into 4 wedges
  • 4 strips cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 1 tomato diced
  • blue cheese crumbles

Instructions

Blue Cheese Dressing

  • Combine all ingredients for the dressing in a bowl.
  • Whisk to combine.

Wedge Salad

  • Place a wedge of iceberg lettuce on a small plate.
  • Drizzle blue cheese salad dressing on top of the wedge.
  • Sprinkle diced tomatoes, onions, and bacon on top.
  • Top with a sprinkling of blue cheese crumbles.
  • Repeat process on each wedge of iceberg lettuce.
